Marquetry

Ahmad Tourani Sama | Stand : JB 05

"This unique piece of art is the culmination of 15 months of dedicated effort and meticulous attention to detail, employing traditional marquetry techniques in the color separation style. Inspired by Iran's historic bazaars, particularly those in the north of the country and Isfahan's Naqsh-e Jahan Square, the tableau depicts a vision of Iran's authentic and rich architecture

A wide array of high-quality Iranian woods, including walnut, maple, jujube, orange, yew, hornbeam, elder, pear, almond, green plum, barberry, acacia, and alder, have been utilized in the creation of this tableau. Each piece of wood has been meticulously cut according to the overall design of the tableau and assembled like a puzzle while preserving the natural grain of the wood. This approach, in addition to creating a beautiful work of art, allows the natural texture and color of the woods to shine as a primary element in the final design. The tableau measures 75 centimeters in height and 100 centimeters in width
