- Artist bio-Riya Shah is a self-taught artist and dentist, creating realistic artwork that explores the beauty of women and the spiritual expression of Sufi dervishes. Her work often incorporates elements of Arabic calligraphy.  From a young age, Riya has been passionate about art, participating in exhibitions in both India and Dubai.  She was notably awarded by the late M.F. Hussain in 2002.  Since officially beginning her art career in 2016, she has exhibited in Delhi and participated in World Art Dubai in 2023.  Exhibited work  under "Funnun art and art smile "Her preferred medium is acrylic on canvas.  Riya's art focuses on the theme of Sufi dancers, capturing their unique whirling dance as an expression of their connection with the divine.  These dancers, practitioners of Sufism (or Tasawwuf), seek an inward connection with God through this traditional and spiritual performance.
