Each piece has a title that alone conveys a lot. "Drowned in thought" with full gilding suggests mental saturation, perhaps an intense internal struggle. "Stuck in the void" with the white background conveys that feeling of pause, uncertainty or even isolation. "Obsession and desire" with the golden half background gives the impression of being between two states, in a struggle to advance or surrender to desire. The sequence of the works reinforces the narrative, as if it were a cycle where we go from saturation to pause, and then to impulse.
