A Betta fish flutters its fins like paint dissolving into water. However, due to its large fins, it is not a strong swimmer. When provided with aquatic plants to lean on, it finds a place to rest. The addition of Indian almond leaf extract enhances water quality but tints the water, reducing the chance to see the fish’s true colors.
Even so, Bettas recognize their owners—dancing eagerly for food when approached and responding to playful gestures with flaring displays.
In this painting, the fish’s body intentionally reflects the water’s hue, appearing subdued. This was essential in capturing the true beauty of its existence as a living being.
