Iram of the Pillars (Arabic: إرم ذات العماد‎, Iram Dhāt al-ʿImād) is a legendary lost city that holds significant standing in Arab and Islamic culture. It is believed to have been a wondrous place in the desert, brimming with wealth and splendour. However, due to the arrogance and corruption of its inhabitants, the city incurred divine wrath and was ultimately destroyed or buried beneath the sands of the desert.  

The City of Iram symbolises the downfall of arrogance, and its story is often used in Arab culture as a moral cautionary tale, reminding people of the virtues of humility and reverence for the divine.
