Endless Ridges

Carlos Villaseñor Anaya | Stand : R10

In Mexico's Oaxacan Mixteca, the Sierra Madre's Eastern and Western ranges intertwine eternally, weaving endless layers that fade into horizons of utopia.

Where the Sierra Madre’s Eastern and Western ranges converge, the Mixtecan Knot is born—an embrace of colossal mountains weaving layers that stretch into infinity, evoking horizons of utopia.

Amid this majestic tapestry lies the Tehuacán-Cuicatlán Biosphere Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, ancient traces of maize domestication were discovered, and an extraordinary array of endemic cacti, especially the towering columnar giants, stand timeless, reaching for the sky.
