Summit. Light. Life. All in a fleeting moment.
As the afternoon light fades, the sun glides over Citlaltépetl—the "Mountain of the Star" in Nahuatl—better known as Pico de Orizaba. Rising to 5,636 meters above sea level, it stands with solemn majesty, the highest peak in Mexico.
From this vantage point, it’s easy to surrender to contemplation. Its protective mantle stretches endlessly, bestowing water, stirring air, and nurturing the land throughout the exuberant and syncretic state of Veracruz.
To witness nature transforming at this scale is awe-inspiring. A quiet reminder of our place within it.
