Incorporating Ain Dubai into a landscape

Reem Gallery | Stand : J01, J10, HB10

During the Joseon Dynasty, landscape paintings were a significant part of traditional Korean art, depicting nature and scenic views. In this artwork, I blend this traditional style with a modern landmark—the world’s most magnificent observation wheel—designed and built by my husband and his team. Today, this wheel operates smoothly and stands as one of Dubai’s iconic landmarks.
In reality, they overcame numerous challenges to construct this massive structure on reclaimed land. To honor their dedication and achievement, I depicted the observation wheel using pure gold, symbolizing eternal stability and strength.
This artwork serves as a tribute to their relentless hard work and determination. It celebrates their journey of transforming challenges into success, merging tradition and modernity into a timeless vision of Dubai.
