Inspired by Andy Warhol's iconic pop art portraits, this artwork reimagines the genre through an animal portrait. Drawn to Warhol’s vibrant colors and unique perspectives, I embarked on an experimental journey within pop art. Using mixed media—oil paint, gold leaf, and paper text clippings—I crafted a dynamic composition that pushes the boundaries of tradition.
At its core lies a tribute to The Rolling Stones, with their rebellious anthem: "It's only rock'n'roll, but I like it!" This statement captures both the defiant spirit of the piece and its unconventional subject.
Blending pop art elements with a bold rejection of conformity, this work symbolizes a departure from artistic and societal norms. It stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of rebellion in art. Measuring 70 x 60 cm, the piece is finished with a protective layer of professional varnish to guard against sunlight and dust.
