Boschkatzen: Pecto's Inferno

Diorama/ Oil painting.

This surreal masterpiece took over 6,000 hours to make, 5 artists, sculptors and wood workers completed this oeuvre working daily for four straight months. Led by renowned Filipino surrealist painter Nestor Perez Ong, his creative team that included surrealist sculptor Ding Royales, collaborated with autistic artist and gallerist Carlo Garrido for an "out of this world" idea: A whimsical depiction of hell, where cats ruled and punished human animal abusers.

Inspired by the story of Dante's Inferno and the art of Hieronymous Bosch, Pecto's Inferno is the story of a boy named Pecto who witnessed animal abuse, and sought shelter in a quiet forest. He stumbled upon a mysterious Tarsier named Lucida. Lucida then takes Pecto to a magical portal where she takes him to a boat ride that sailed through hell- for him to witness cuddly but diabolical cats punishing people who abused animals in their past.
