This work takes the seal script form of the Chinese characters for “peace” as its foundation, abstractly reassembling them through intricately intertwined strokes to create a visual composition that blurs the line between text and image. The artist introduces various patches of color into select areas, imbuing the otherwise serene structure with dynamic tension. The layering of colors symbolizes the interweaving and collision of diverse cultures, races, and ideologies within human civilization, while “peace” as the core element calls for understanding and inclusion amidst this diversity. In this composition, red signifies conflict, yellow represents vigilance, and blue denotes rationality.
