In this painting, I explore the theme of envy. This hidden feeling is not always easy to recognize, let alone acknowledge in order to make peace with it. Very often, envy is destructive, it can be "poisonous" like a snake's bite. At the same time, envy can motivate a person to change, by recognizing this feeling, one can shed it like a snake sheds its old skin during molting.
