Alia Alkhalfah

I am a self-taught artist living in Dubai. My inspiration is gathered frompersonal experiences, fueled by a deep sense of empathy. Born in Saudi Arabia into a Syrian family and shaped by a Canadian heritage, I feel a profound connection to the rich diversity that flows like the ever-changing ocean waves.

My passion for art emerged at an early age, which I have continued to cultivate throughout my life with what feels like an unyielding desire to delve into the inner mechanism of my creativity. Throughout my artistic journey, I explored various subjects and mediums, but I always found myself drawn back to oil paint.  Now, I channel my inspiration through oil techniques, using inventive brushwork and thoughtful details to bring a refined touch to my work. With a creative process that is smooth, yet dynamic and fluid, I am currently concentrated on representing my impression of the endless states of the ocean. My aim is to convey a serene sense of movement that resonates with the viewer.
