I am a contemporary artist and specialized in Pop Art painting. Just as Roy Lichtenstein took his templates from comic books, I work from magazines such as Vogue Arabian, Haper ́s Bazaar or from the Internet and document the changing zeitgeist through the influence of the media and environmental responsibility. I developed the cutting technique and it is unique in the world. Up close, my pictures look abstract and become photorealistic from a distance.
This artwork shows a polo player and I incorporated my Hérmes Paris silk scarf into the background. Polo sport and fashion combine quite well and I wanted to differentiate myself from other Polo Equestrian Painters.
Through my technique "KATHAs Cutting Art", my artworks appear three-dimensional. They are made on MDF boards because they paint with a carpet knife and weigh around 9kg. They take on a spatial presence, like a piece of furniture.
