After my father passed away, I was inspired by the profundity of the Japanese word for ‘love’ (愛 , AI) and explored this concept through trial and error.

I used the VenusdeMiloasametaphorforabstraction.

By intentionally omitting the character for‘heart’(心),Iaimedtoopena dialogue with the viewer about ‘love’ (愛 , AI)—a concept that defies being fully captured in form.
