With the spirit of 'Art for Everyone,' JCAT (Japanese Contemporary Artists Team) was founded to achieve as a group what a single Japanese artist cannot alone.
Leo Lionni's story Swimmy illustrates this: a lone fish leads a school of small red fish to form the shape of a large fish, allowing them to swim freely and fearlessly. Like Swimmy, JCAT believes that individual potential becomes limitless when united.
Continuing the vision of Ouch Gallery, led by art director ARISA from 2008 to 2018, JCAT aims to shift art from something exceptional to an essential part of human life, hoping to influence Japan's art scene. Today, over 200 artists advance together with JCAT."
