Eclecticism combines my photographic and abstract painting styles with the inclusion of unusual details such as logos, familiar fashion details, card chips, copy & paste, as well as lettering, flowers, animals, and more. I like my paintings to raise questions and be unorthodox.
In this painting, I photorealistically adapted a photograph by photographer Khalil Ahli and then deviated from the original, filling it with ornamental abstract surfaces. I took the orange horses from the Hermés Paris keychain. The metallic silver circles have ladies polo players underneath. I didn't like them anymore, and now they shine through visually.
